Can breathing be the caffeine of the soul?

Pranayama is a very famous and well-known technique used in Yoga and relaxation exercises. However, it is said that it acts as energizer for the soul as caffeine does. And it may be true now. Research shows that the latest kings in Japan used this technique just before the battle. It was supposed to develop certain ocular abilities which made them perform slightly better and therefore, win the battle. But if we move on to recent times, we can see that sport people use pranayama breathing as their ‘protein shake’ to develop similar abilities. So the question is, can breathing, using specific movements, gives us the power as any other external suplement? Human Psychology is on the plate now.
