Afraid to be happy?

We often allow ourselves trickles of delight every now and then, but when the experience of happiness is more vivid, real, and long term, we’re often racked with self-doubt and thrown about by our fears.

This is something I felt for a long time and still do feel at times. The thought that “being too happy will jinx the happier future” always stays at the back of my mind, often resulting into overthinking and worrying which ruins the present.

I was thinking about the same when I came across this article.
